Children get abused and die everyday of abuse and neglect. In 2005 1,460 died throughout the year of child abuse or neglect. The majority of kids who get abused are mostly 3 years or younger (77 percent ). The United States has one of the worst records, losing on average of 3-7 kids everyday to child abuse or neglect. Throughout the year there are referrals to the state child protective services that involve 6.6 million children, and about 3.2 million of the children are subject to an investigated report. Being abused as a kid can damage the kid for life, child abuse needs to stop. There are five different kinds of abuse that children face. One is physical abuse, physical abuse is â€Å"The use of physical force that may result in bodily injury, physical pain, or impairment.† 28.3 percent of kids experience physical abuse. The second kind of abuse is sexual abuse, sexual abuse is â€Å" forcing undesired sexual behavior by one person upon another.† 20.7 percent of kids experience sexual abuse. The third kind of abuse is emotional abuse, emotional abuse is â€Å"A form of abuse, characterized by a person subjecting, or exposing, another person to behavior that may result in psychological trauma, including anxiety, chronic depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder.† 10.6 percent of kids face emotional abuse.
